AIM Class of 2012 Resume Book Available to Firms Seeking Summer Interns

AIM program director, Dr. David Krause said, "The AIM Class of 2012 resume book is available to firms who are interested in evaluating and interviewing our students for summer internships. To discuss how to obtain a pdf file of the resume book, please contact me at david.krause@marquette.edu."

He continued, "The Applied Investment Management program at Marquette University began in 2005 and since then over 100 undergraduate students have participated in the program. Our alumni can be found in leading investment companies throughout the country - and the world. As the first undergraduate educational partner with the CFA Institute, we take pride in our students' successful placements and their high CFA exam pass rates.

The students in the AIM program also manage three student funds that have a market value in excess of $1.7 million. The funds, part of the overall Marquette University endowment, include a small cap equity fund, fixed income fund, and an international equity fund. AIM provides a training ground for undergraduate students to gain hands-on experience managing a real fund with significant assets.

Enrollment in the AIM program, which begins during the spring semester of a student’s junior year, is a competitive process. Each year, enrollment is limited to about 20 students who spend three semesters in AIM. The students are responsible for all fund activities including: screening and evaluating securities, preparing and presenting pitches for buy and sell recommendations, and making portfolio allocation decisions. The AIM students prepare investment reports that are presented to the Chief Investment Officer of the Marquette University Endowment.

Dr. Krause, AIM Director
Dr. Krause said, "The students in the AIM Class of 2012 have voluntarily submitted their resumes to be included in this book. We hope you find this to be useful as you consider students for summer internships and future employment. I believe you will find this to be a very talented and motivated group of students. I am looking forward to beginning their first AIM class in the spring semester. Thank you for your support of Marquette's AIM program."
